VOLK terms of service
Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of the VOLK app and the volk.pet website. By creating an account or using VOLK, you accept these terms and the Privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use VOLK.
VOLK is operated by Luis Daniel Toral Ramírez, with an address at C. Zempoala 50, colonia Tatahuicapan, C.P. 91060, Xalapa-Enríquez, Veracruz, Mexico. Contact: [email protected].
1. What VOLK is
VOLK is a tool for coordinating your dogs’ daily care as a family: logging meals, walks, medications, vaccines and grooming, getting alerts, and letting everyone in the household know what has been done and what’s left.
2. VOLK doesn’t replace your vet
Walk goals, weather alerts, reminders, artificial intelligence analyses and any other suggestion from VOLK are for information only. They are not diagnoses or veterinary instructions. Artificial intelligence can be wrong.
If you have any doubt about your dog’s health, see a vet. In an emergency, go to one immediately. Decisions about your dog’s care are yours.
3. Your account
- You sign up with Apple or Google, and you’re responsible for keeping access to that account secure.
- The information you log must be true to the best of your knowledge.
- You must be an adult, or use VOLK with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your household
- Whoever creates a household is its owner: they decide who to invite, what role each person has, and they pay for the household’s plan.
- What you log in a household is visible to its other members. Only invite people you trust.
- If you leave a household or are removed from it, the records you made there may be kept so the household keeps its dogs’ history.
5. Plans and subscriptions
- VOLK Free costs nothing and has basic features. The Individual and Family plans, and extra dogs, are paid subscriptions. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Billing is done by the Apple App Store or Google Play, with the payment method on your account, at the price the store shows in your country.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Free trial: the yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial, available once per person. If you don’t cancel before it ends, the yearly plan is charged.
- Cancelling: from the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel the subscription.
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
- If your plan ends, your household goes back to VOLK Free. We don’t delete your data: dogs and members beyond Free’s limits become read-only until you subscribe again.
- We may change prices or what each plan includes. A price change applies from your next renewal, with the advance notice the store requires.
6. Your content
- What you log is yours: photos, notes and care records.
- You give us permission to store, process and show it to the members of your household, only so that VOLK works, as explained in the Privacy policy.
- If you share a dog’s record, you decide what is shared, with whom and for how long, and you’re responsible for that decision.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use VOLK to:
- Carry out illegal activities, or harm people or animals.
- Upload content that is offensive, infringes others’ rights or that you have no right to share.
- Try to access accounts, households or data that aren’t yours.
- Interfere with how VOLK works, copy it, decompile it or abuse its features, including the artificial intelligence.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep VOLK running well and available, but it may have interruptions or errors. We may add, change or remove features. Notifications depend on your device, your connection and Apple’s and Google’s services, so we can’t guarantee they will always arrive on time: don’t rely on VOLK alone for something critical, such as an essential medication.
9. Intellectual property
The VOLK brand, its logo, its design, the dog avatars and the software belong to their owner. These terms give you no rights over them, except to use the app in line with these terms.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, VOLK is provided as is, and we’re not liable for indirect damages or for decisions made based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Law or any other law that can’t be waived.
11. Termination
You can stop using VOLK and delete your account whenever you want, from Settings → Delete account. We may end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering VOLK, giving you reasonable notice whenever possible.
12. Apple
If you downloaded VOLK from the App Store:
- These terms are between you and the operator of VOLK, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for VOLK or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for VOLK.
- If VOLK fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding VOLK.
- Apple is not responsible for claims relating to VOLK, including product liability, legal non-compliance or consumer protection claims, or third-party intellectual property claims.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your internet provider’s.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo or on a United States list of restricted persons.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on volk.pet with its date. If the change is significant, we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use VOLK after the change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute will be settled before the courts of Xalapa, Veracruz, unless the law allows you to go to another jurisdiction or to Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco).
